Most practices lose the local pack on three fixable signals: category precision, review velocity and profile completeness. Here is the exact 30-day checklist we run.
A patient two buildings away searches "dentist near me" and books someone 2 km further out. It happens every day, and it is rarely about your dentistry — it is about three signals Google uses to rank the local pack.
Fix one: category precision
First: category precision. Most profiles use one generic category when Google allows a primary plus several secondaries. "Dental clinic" alone loses to a profile with "Dental clinic + Dental implants provider + Orthodontist" for every high-value query.
Fix two: review velocity
Second: review velocity. Google weights recent, steady reviews far more than an old pile. Fifteen reviews a month, every month, beats 200 reviews from 2022. Build the ask into your clinical workflow — a WhatsApp invitation within 2–4 hours of the visit converts best.
Fix three: completeness and freshness
Third: completeness and freshness. Services filled with descriptions, current photos monthly, Q&A seeded with the questions patients actually ask (fees range, insurance, parking), posts weekly. Google reads activity as reliability — and so do patients.
What happens in 30 days
Run those three for 30 days and the map moves. Want us to run the full diagnostic on your profile? The practice growth audit covers it, free.
